Grand Coteau, LA - November 3rd, 2018
In South Louisiana, a wedding can be just as much a celebration of love as it is a cultural experience. From atop Alyce’s boutique in historic downtown Grand Coteau, to a 100 year old chapel in Washington…gifts of moonshine, two-stepping, Grammy winning Cajun musicians…this wedding was everything Cajun dreams are made of and more. The weather was perfection and if you know anything about Louisiana weather, you’ll know how unpredictable it can be. But Mother Nature was in our favor and she poured sunshine and perfect temperatures on the day. The myth is that if it rains on your wedding day, you’ll have a long and fruitful marriage. Well, it didn’t rain on Alyce and David’s day, and I see no storm clouds in their future. You’ll see so many smiling, happy faces throughout the blog that it will make your face hurt. ALLONS, Y’ALL! It’s a good one.
